The Power of Nutrition

Come join me March 11th at 6:30 PM at Zane's Cycles in Branford where I will give a free lecture on how to improve your nutrition for better health and peak performance in endurance events. Often I find athletes focus on training but forget about nutrition and recovery - two very important components for performing at your best!

How You Can Improve Your Biking Leg of the Triathlon

Coach Kelli Montgomery can show you how you can improve your biking leg of a triathlon.

In most races you spend the most time on the bike compared to the other two disciplines. By learning how to ride efficiently and by becoming stronger you can have a faster bike leg setting you up for a better run too!

I will talk about what type of bike, strength, and flexibility workouts you need to do to help improve your cycling leg specifically for triathlon. I will also go over pedal stroke efficiency and participants will work on their pedal stroke using the Computrainer software available at the Connecticut Cycle Center. The workshop will consist of an hour lecture, 1 hour workout, and a half hour for Q&A. Beginners to experienced can benefit from this workshop. Space is limited so don't wait to sign-up!

Running Class Geared for Triathletes and Cyclists

Coach Kelli will work on improving your running mechanics, speed, endurance, strength, and pacing. Triathletes will also focus on what it takes to run well off the bike and runners on proper pacing. Learn how to train more effectively and enjoy the energy of a group workout to give you that extra motivation! This class suits all abilities levels from beginner to experienced runners and/or triathletes.
